The SmartShunt is a good alternative to the BMV battery monitor, especially on systems where you need to track the battery but you do not want to have so many cables.

The SmartShunt has Bluetooth, a port VE.Direct and a connection that can be used to control a second battery, for tracking the midpoint or to connect a temperature sensor.
