The new multiplus style has been designed to replace the previous multiplus compact range. Gathered, in a single compact housing, a powerful sinusoidal inverter, a sophisticated battery charger with variable load technology and a high-speed AC transfer switch.
Multifunctional, with intelligent energy management
The Multiplus is a powerful real sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger with adaptive load technology and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact housing. In addition to these main functions, the multiplus has several advanced features, as indicated below.
Parallel performance and three-phase capacity
Up to six multis can work in parallel to achieve a higher output power. In addition to the parallel connection, three units can be configured for a three-phase output.
PowerControl: How to deal with a limited power of the generator, on the side of the coast or network
With the multi control panel you can set a maximum current of the generator or network. The MultiPlus will take into account other AC loads and use what envelope for loading, thus avoiding the generator or grounding to overload.
PowaSessist - increase of the capacity of ground or generator
This function carries the principle of PowerControl to a new dimension. It allows multiplus complemently the capacity of the alternative source. In cases where the maximum power is only needed for a limited period, the multiplus will ensure that the insufficient power of the spring or generator is immediately compensated with battery power. When the load is reduced, the remaining energy is used to recharge the battery.
Four-stage adaptive charger and double bank battery charge
The main output provides a powerful load to the battery system by advanced "adaptive load" software. The software adjusts the three-stage automatic process to adapt it to the battery status, and adds a fourth stage for long-ended load periods. The adaptive loading process is described in more detail on the Phoenix Charger data sheet and on our website, in the Technical Information section. In addition, the Multiplus will charge a second battery using an independent slow load output for a main motor or generator start battery.
High starter power
Necessary to boot high intensity loads, such as power converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or power tools.
Search mode
When the search mode is activated, the energy consumption of the inverter running without load is reduced by approximately 70%. In this mode, the multi, when it works in inverter mode, is disconnected in case of absence of load or very low load, and turns on every two seconds for a short period. If the output current exceeds an established level, the inverter will continue to work. Otherwise, the inverter will turn off again.
Programmable relay
By default, the programmable relay is configured as an alarm relay, that is, the relay will be deactivated in case of alarm or pre-alarm (almost too hot inverter, ripple at almost too high entry, almost too low battery voltage).

Configuration, supervision and control of the in situ system
After installation, the multiplus is ready to work. Some settings can be modified with DIP switches. Models 500/800 / 1200VA: Remote switch / battery charge voltage / inverter frequency / search mode. Models of 1600 / 2000VA: Charging voltage of the battery / search mode. For more settings, use Ve-Config or Dongle Ve.Bus Smart.
Remote configuration and supervision
Install a GX Cerb or another GX product to connect to the Internet. The operating data can be stored and displayed on our VRM website (Victron Remote Management), for free. When you connect to the Internet, the systems can be accessed remotely and the settings can be changed.
