- Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use
The storage mode is activated when the battery has not been downloaded for 24 hours. In storage mode, the flotation voltage is reduced to 2.2 V / cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimize the gasy and corrosion of positive plates. Once a week, the tension is reread again at the absorption level to "match" the battery. This function avoids the stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation, one of the main causes of premature batteries failures.
