Loading
The overdrops of the battery can be avoided by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output will disconnect the load when the battery has been downloaded to a pre-established voltage (48 V model: Interface with a relay). As an alternative, you can choose a smart management algorithm of the battery: See battery life. The load output is short-circuit proof.
Battery life: Intelligent battery management
When a solar loading regulator is not capable of recharging the battery until full capacity within a day, the result is usually that the battery continually passes from a "partial load" state to another of "end of discharge". This mode of operation (without regular full recharge) will destroy a lead-acid battery in weeks or months. The Battery Life algorithm will control the battery charge status and, if necessary, day by day will slightly increase the drop-off level (ie, it will disconnect the load before) until the harvested solar energy is enough to recharge the Battery almost 100%. From that moment, the level of disconnection of the load will be modulated so that a recharge of almost 100% approximately once a week is achieved.
