Epoxy coating (osmosis prevention).
Two-component epoxy coating with a satin appearance for iron, wood, aluminium, light alloys, cement and fiberglass (creating an insulating barrier to prevent osmosis).
Applied as a base coat, it can be painted over with chlorinated rubber, acrylic, and polyurethane products, providing an optimal anchoring base and a long-lasting anticorrosive coating. Also used to paint interior floors and tanks (4 layers, all 250 microns) to contain oil, diesel, kerosene and other products. When dry, its layer is non-toxic and can be used to line tanks to contain drinking water, with an Italian suitability certificate.
Container capacity: 0.845 L. A + B - 3.125 L. A + B
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION CYCLE
Steel. Sandblasting of the support to SA 2.5 grade is recommended. If this is not possible, the support must be perfectly cleaned, dried, degreased and free of rust and/or calamine and subjected to a mechanical abrasive process. On epoxy or polyurethane primers or zincants, apply a coat of EPOFOND AM-9, and then 1-2 coats of POLIFOND followed by the chosen finish.
New zinc plated steel. The support must be dry and perfectly degreased. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9.
Galvanized steel already painted. Remove any traces of rust by abrasive process. The surface must be dry and perfectly degreased. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9.
Fiberglass. The support must be dry, well degreased and slightly abrasive. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9.
Concrete. The support must be clean, dry, set, free of particles that can be detached, oils or imperfections. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM/9 as a primer, diluted according to the degree of absorption of the concrete. Let dry and apply another 2 coats of EPOFOND AM/9 to finish (for floors, interior walls, etc.) or, alternatively, if an aesthetic finish is required, apply 2 coats of polyurethane enamel.
