SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION CYCLE
New iron helmets. A coat of EPOFOND AM-9 is applied to the blasted iron at grade 2.5-3, leaving it to dry for 12-24 hours. (In the event that it is not possible to blast, it is advisable to subject the iron to an abrasive process until it reaches live iron; clean the surface and apply 1 coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO), allowing it to dry for 8-12 hours. Then apply 3 coats of SOLVER PRIMER with an interval of 24 hours between coats. Recoat with 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA antifouling with a minimum interval of 8 hours between coats.
New wooden hulls. Apply a coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and let it dry for 8-12 hours. Apply 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER with an interval of 24 hours between coats. Followed by 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA antifouling with a minimum interval of 8 hours between coats.
New fiberglass or plastic hulls. Degrease with detergents and water and rinse. Lightly sand with fine sandpaper and remove dust. Apply a coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER and after 24 hours sand with fine sandpaper. Then apply 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA antifouling, allowing at least 8 hours to pass between coats.
Helmets already painted. If the old antifouling paint is in good condition, compatible and well fixed, apply 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA after light sanding. If the nature of the old antifouling is not known, check its compatibility with SERENISSIMA by performing a test on part of the surface: if bubbles, wrinkles or cracks appear, apply an intermediate coat of SOLVER PRIMER to isolate the old layer Of paint.
Then apply 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA antifouling with a minimum interval of 8 hours between coats. (It is still advised to completely remove the pre-existing antifouling paint if 3-4 years have passed)
(*) NOTE 1: Brush application. SERENISSIMA antifouling can be applied with longitudinal movements with respect to the waterline; wait at least 8 hours before applying the second coat of SERENISSIMA. It is advisable to apply a third coat of SERENISSIMA on the entire waterline and on the rudder.
Recommendations. The maximum period of commissioning of the antifouling, after the application of the last coat, is 1 month; With the best products in the range based on copper oxide and prior agreement with our technical staff, it can be extended up to 3 months, provided that the hull is protected from humidity, rain or atmospheric agents, with plastic or similar material.

colour . The color of the antifouling after immersion in water may vary slightly. Small differences in color may occur between different production batches: if necessary, mix them before application.

Observations. The values indicated in these technical sheets may vary slightly from one production to another. The applied product must not come into contact with water, chemical products or be subjected to mechanical stress before crosslinking is complete. Wet film thickness refers to undiluted product. With dilution, this value will increase.
