An easy to use radio on any type of boat
You see clearly in the light of the day thanks to a screen with a high contrast of black on white and night mode with color investment (white on black). Its rotary command facilitates the selection of channels and its large buttons allow access to other important functions very quickly. Its specific keys for channel 16 (installed both on the radio and on the hand microphone) offer instant access to the emergency channel. A included kneecap holder allows you to install it on a worktop, on the wall or on a mamparo in a very simple way. It is also possible to make a built-in installation with a simple front mounting solution to adapt it to the low profile style of Glass Bridge displays and accessories.
DSC Homologation, Class D
The DSC or "Digital Selective Calling" technique facilitates contact with other navigators and allows you to transmit the location of your boat in case of emergency. If there is a difficulty, the V20S "Distress" button will start a DSC relief call that will send the position of your boat to all vessels within the VHF range. In addition, if used together with a traditional radio help call, make it easier for users who have radios with DSC functionality to register your situation and come to your help. The integrated GPS receiver can send your position even if the rest of the electronic devices on the ship were off.
Easy access to all international channels
The V20S is designed to be used worldwide and is compatible with all international channels. It includes three-channel surveillance function and allows searches between the selected channel at a certain time, the 16-emergency channel and other user-configurable priority channels (in the U.S., searches are carried out between the selected channel at a certain time, the 16-emergency channel and the 9-call channel). It also allows you to search through all available channels, or only for those you have selected as favorites. Emergency channels may be given priority during the search to reduce the possibility of passing through emergency calls or other emergency security messages.
