What is Ozone?

Ozone (also called O3) is a substance whose molecule is made up of three oxygen atoms. This substance prevents ultraviolet rays (UV) from passing through the earth's stratosphere and reaching the atmosphere, being highly reactive, which is why it interacts very easily with compounds such as ammonia, thus eliminating bad odors and also constituting an effective and economical procedure for disinfection, which is also non-polluting and respectful of the environment.

How does an ozone generator work?

In the vast majority of ozone generators, the air enters the device from the back, sucked in by a fan integrated inside. Once in the ozonator, germs and bacteria are removed from the air with the help of a special filter and a UV lamp. Afterwards, the air circulates through the ceramic plates where the oxygen is transformed into ozone by means of an electric discharge, after which it is expelled into the room through the front of the equipment.
