The Tide Minnow Slim 140 enjoyed its popularity among surf fishing anglers, and the long-awaited complete model change has arrived. With the modifications to the weight system, casting ability has improved dramatically. In addition, we have adjusted the action and balance of the body to better adapt to changing wave conditions.

We've fine-tuned its specs to better fit today's surf game. To put it into perspective, this new model will feel a bit like a model between the Tide Minnow Slim 120 and 175.

For the moving weight system, the original model used a steel ball that was attached to a magnet while swimming, while the new model became a free-moving tungsten ball. In addition to the change in the weight system, we refined the contour of the rear of the body to reduce air resistance. By installing the heavier tungsten ball that transfers more smoothly within the body, we were able to achieve a more stable flight posture that resulted in a 10% increase in launch distance.
