Developed by Kazuhiro Uyama and tested on his many journeys to hunt down the world's greatest predators, Fangbait aspires to become a staple in "beast hunter" boxes. In contrast to the countless long lipped diver lures on the market, the Fangbait DR series is equipped with excellent casting ability. These types of lures are mainly used for trolling and when cast the long lip prevents stable flight. However, the Fangbait DR series is loaded with a moveable weight system that allows the lure to cast great distances.

As a pioneering model for the Fang Ops brand, it embodies the concept of building some of the world's toughest lures to the max. The 120DR and 140DR tag team has been built to take on even the biggest of 'beasts' protected by a thick 1.2mm diameter cable running through the entire body. By running the cable through the outer side of the body, we were able to further reduce the plastic usually required around the cable, while also increasing the air chamber for increased buoyancy. We have also inserted 3 different sized stainless steel pins to secure the cable going through the body. This prevents the cable from coming loose, while also reducing weight by trimming unnecessary body meat.

The next generation of diving jerkbait, the Fangbait DR series will change the conception of what is known as a type of diving lure.
